The “Nudge” Shop

Nudged by Quotes—20 Contemporary Writing Prompts Inspired by The World’s Great Poetry

Whether you write poetry, fiction, blog posts, or journal entries, you’ll find inspiration in these prompts, or “nudges.” Using quotes by famous poets such as Pope, Tennyson, and Longfellow as starting points, each original nudge encourages writers to answer questions, devise scenarios, or examine dilemmas to get the words flowing. Exercises can be used for individual writing practice or in group settings and can also serve as tools in character development for short stories and novels.

Nancy, you are not charging enough for these charming boxes with your handmade lace medallions. What dear Mother’s Day gifts they will make!

Thanks, Sandy! Actually, I’ve had these on since the winter and they’ve not even getting “favorited” that much, let alone purchased. I was lucky to get the boxes themselves at 60% off after Christmas at Hobby Lobby. At full price I WOULD have to charge more.

I love your site, Nancy and look forward to taking time perusing you website. I admire the talent you and you sister possess. I hope a “nudge” from you may help me.

Thanks, Pam! I do appreciate you taking the time to read. And thanks for the compliments. Let me know if you have any questions or if there’s anything I can clarify or elaborate on. I’m always looking for topics to address.
